I fell in love with yoga during my first class in the mid 1990s. What started out as a way to decrease physical tension and pain gradually led to a more mental practice. These days, it's not just the physical postures helping me through life. I continue my practice "off the mat" in the way that I carry myself through the world in both strength and flexibility both mentally and physically, ever mindful that it's progess not perfection that's important. My training and teaching of yoga to children began in 2006 when I was asked to incorporate yoga in the Montessori classroom at my daughter's school. This was a natural step for me as it combines my two passions in life, yoga and teaching (I taught five years in the mniddle school classroom). I've been teaching yoga to both children and adults ever since. It brings me great joy to watch the children progess in their awareness each year. They teach me to stress less, giggle more, relax, and enjoy the journey. This year, when my friend Korin Brody (Let it Be Yoga), relocated to Friendswood, she generously asked me to teach her adult yoga classes at Expressions Dance and Music. I'm looking forward to continuing the journey and practicing with new faces this year! Namaste'
